Open WebUI

Self-hosted web UI (Docker). Add one OpenAI API connection under External Connections for all users.

Prerequisites
Signed in with balance · key created in the right group (create a key) · model IDs from the models table or /v1/models

Download & install

Site: openwebui.com. Typically deployed with one Docker command (repo open-webui/open-webui).

Setup steps

  1. 1
Admin Panel → Settings → Connections.
  2. 2
    Under OpenAI API click «+»: URL = https://api.daoxe.com/v1, Key = sk-xxxx, save.
  3. 3
Open WebUI then calls /v1/models automatically and every site model appears in the model selector.
  4. 4
Optionally hide unused models under Admin Panel → Models to keep the selector short.

Choosing models

Model IDs must match the site exactly (case-sensitive). Copy them from the recommended models table or GET /v1/models. If the key's group doesn't include the model you'll get 403 / model not available — see Models & groups.

Common pitfalls

  • The URL must include /v1; without it the model list fetch fails outright.
  • Inside Docker the container can't reach a proxy on the host's «localhost»; use the public site URL directly.
