Immersive Translate

Browser translation extension. Point its OpenAI service at a custom endpoint to translate pages with site models.

Signed in with balance · key created in the right group (create a key) · model IDs from the models table or /v1/models

Download & install

Install from your browser's extension store or from immersivetranslate.com.

Setup steps

Extension settings → Translation Services → OpenAI, APIKEY = sk-xxxx.

Expand advanced options and set the custom API endpoint to https://api.daoxe.com/v1/chat/completions (full path).

Choose custom model and enter a cheap fast site model ID (translation volume is high, so optimize for cost).

Lower max requests per second (e.g. 5–10) so full-page translation doesn't trip 429 rate limits.

Choosing models

Model IDs must match the site exactly (case-sensitive). Copy them from the recommended models table or GET /v1/models. If the key's group doesn't include the model you'll get 403 / model not available — see Models & groups.

Common pitfalls

The endpoint needs the full /chat/completions path; stopping at /v1 errors on some versions.
Frequent 429s: lower concurrency first, then see rate limits.
